The discoveries of modern sociology and psychology show that a woman has a natural role as an educator. This is especially true in the early years of children’s development, for example. Whether we like it or not, psychologically, the umbilical cord it isn’t cut at birth of the child, and during the first two or three years a special relationship remains and gives an aspect to the relationship between mother and child


 


From other point of view. It is important to not generalize unfairly for this: women have a more analytical mind, and men more synthetic it does not mean that there are none woman able to synthesize or man able to analyzing. The woman is said to possess an intuition that familiar her naturally with the difficult problems of education, this not mean that father are not good teachers. But everything is a matter of emphasis and priorities.


 


 


 


Education is a vital need for our society


 


 


 


Although, I would to talk now about today’s needs. Our changing society in fact launched a huge appeal for education. At the risk of stating the truths, we must remember that the mutation may will be a “wrong move” if what is called education does not receive an appropriate response to its magnitude.


 


We are now in a fragmented society and the old sociability (that is the network of social ties that existed between families, the trades, the various local associations) has been disrupted, shattered by a huge and accelerated urbanization. Children very young do not longer find around them the same environment, the same social balance than before.


 


Moreover, the role of schools is changing. In a modern world more and more technical, it will be call over the coming years to move ever more towards the acquisition of knowledge or learning methods at the expense of others aspects of education. We do not always realize it today. The development of violence, the resignation of a number of families is brought to the school in a major weight in education. But this is not meant to last, except to shatter the school, which is not its role.


 


Because of this society in crisis and changes in the school, also because of the stranglehold of the modern state on people, a number of needs are expressed today.


 


First, an emotional need for security on the part of young people, children and teenagers, whom naturally find their outlet in the family. Then a great need for personal expression and especially to themselves wisely initiatives. If we don’t educate children and adolescents on the personal initiative and finally to freedom, they will fall prey to the totalitarian regimes that increasingly are developing around us.


 


This education back to the family, but if during the day both parents are away, if the mother is not present? Who will replace her? Even when the father is present, the mother has a special role to play. But practically when the mother is not present the father did not replace her.


 


Only the family can meet this need of loving presence felt by young people. And the presence of the mother is more important because the one, who holds the key of education, holds the key of tomorrow’s world. This is the truth of revolutionaries include much better, generally, that those who do not.


 


All education has a social dimension by the simple fact that children will one day take a place in society. But now the influence of mass media such as radio, television, internet etc… changes the educational setting.


 


 


 


What kind of education for our children?

We are in a time where everything is going so fast that the most important thing today is “learning to learn”, meaning it must give the child the structure that will enable him / her to have the curiosity necessary to classify and the art of using his knowledge ever more numerous, far beyond the school year.


 


But there is an element of education that counts now more than anything:  learning responsibility.


 


In the old society our town or our cities until recently age play a crucial role in the exercises of responsibilities, even if learning was gradual. Each course included a full day responsibility for yourself and family.


 


In the modern society where the state is often substituted with citizens, where the demands of personal morality dissolve in a climate generally laxest, responsibility is not going over so.


Yet the sense of responsibility is essential to the dignity of persons as to the preservation of freedoms. It is therefore necessary to accustom the child from very early by difficulties in proportion to his/her age, to commit acts reasoned and weighed, he/she knows that “he/she will respond”. Such learning is more demanding than a simple request for obedience. Today the orders we give need to be clarified. This may seem confusing to the parents, which may cost them their own, but which is ultimately fascinating.


 


 


 


And if the state helps families


 


 


 


For all these reasons, the society and the state must help mothers, not by replacing them, but allowing them to take responsibilities, that is by promoting their presence among their children. The educational role of the mother seems to be very crucial if we don’t want to “dismiss” generations of children.


 


In this respect, financially, it’s desirable to assist the mother at home. For those who want to make that choice will not be truly free to do so if it does not lead them heavy financial constraints.


 


So it should help even differently, mother who work outside their home: development schedules while allowing them a significant presence should be encouraged.


 


Because you have to stop oppose mothers at home to those who work outside. Caricature the opposition is unrealistic and creates unnecessary injuries. Often these two types of women are one and the same person at different time of his life.

The woman who gives herself entirely to the education of her children without trying to work outside of her home for the society is a good example of someone who is not subject to its market value and its “ideal” of consumerism.


 


In the same view, we now despise the mothers at home, on the ground that they are not “productive”, which is both false and unacceptable. On the contrary is proof that there are other values that make life such material values that we finally lost. If so many young people are looking for something else a repudiated a technological civilization and soulless, it is precisely because is does not belong to value free.
